Susan Egmont, Principal, has twenty-seven years of business experience, with nineteen of those years spent staffing non-profit organizations with a range of missions. She consults with organizations in New England, nationally and internationally.

She has worked in evaluation, finance, human resources, fund development, training, marketing, operations, program management, and board development. She brings a deep understanding of the challenges organizations face during executive transition. Prior to founding Egmont Associates, she was responsible for implementation of School-to-Career reforms in the high schools of the Boston Public Schools at The Boston Private Industry Council. As director of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts' Foundation, she designed and directed a mobile health care program and built support for a successful campaign to restructure state health insurance for children. At the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Egmont developed the organization from start-up to recognition as Atlanta's ‘best managed non-profit.'

Egmont is active in local and national nonprofit networks and the development of the broad nonprofit sector. She is a Certified Association Executive, Certified Fund Raising Executive, an MBA from Emory University and has been a Senior Fellow at the Lincoln Filene Center for Citizenship and Public Affairs at Tufts University (now the University College for Citizenship and Public Service). She coordinated Boston 's Goldberg Seminar and is active in the Nonprofit Consultants Network. She is a board member of The Friday Forum.

Susan is a founding board member of both the national Alliance for Nonprofit Management and the Nonprofit Resource Center in Atlanta (now Georgia Center for Nonprofits). As well as being a founder of Massachusetts Nonprofit Network she is co-author with Barry Dym and Laura Watkins of Managing Leadership Transition in Nonprofits: Passing the Torch to Sustain Organizational Excellence.
